Trick & Treat
By Ben Young -
Halloween is just around the corner, and if you're like us, you LOVE sharing quick pieces of magic with the trick-or-treaters on your doorstep. After all, why not give them a trick AND a treat?
But there are rules. The magic must be quick. It must be fun. And it shouldn't be TOO scary. Well, here's what made the list this year! Just a few of our faves to show the costumed kids!
Bretzels
The hot new trick on the block! Have a bowl of pretzels on the table, next to your bowl of candy. Grab a couple pretzels, link them, and consider the Disney Princesses baffled.
Change Bag
Why not use a Halloween-themed bag to hand out candy? You could use the bag to make the candy appear, or could get a bit bizarre. Imagine this: Have Ironman and the rest of the Avengers reach into the bag and take their pieces of tasty candy. Then say "I'm so glad you got the candy! I was worried you would grab these!" Reach into the other compartment and pull out a stash of something gross...fake eyeballs, fake worms, etc.
Baffling Blocks
It's the classic Hot Rod, but with LEGOS. No, it doesn't exactly have to do with Halloween, but it fits all the criteria! It's quick, visual, fun magic that trick-or-treaters will love. And you will, too!
Amazecups
Always one of our favorites. The possibilities are, of course, endless. But use this Danny Orleans idea as a starting point. AmazeCups + Candy Corn
Milk To
This is cool! Imagine you answer the door, holding a glass of milk. (It's good for your bones.) "Trick or Treat!" the kids say in unison. You then change the glass of milk to a glass full of candy!
Have fun amazing kids this Halloween!
