Anthony Owen on "The Venue"
By Vanishing Inc. -
On our magic podcast, The Insider, our friend, the late Anthony Owen commented that he felt that social media was both the most topical and the best venue for magic. Coming from a magic television producer, that's a big claim!
Part of his new production company's aims was to produce social media content with magicians. His advice for creating content? He told us: "Just do it. Get a camera, or use your mobile phone, and start talking to it as if they were there. Share it with the world, listen to the feedback."
Anthony was working alongside many of the big-name social media magicians and was an advocate for magicians sharing their work on social media.
Let us know what you think in the comments. Do you agree? Is social media a better medium than television for magic? Will you take Anthony's advice and use social media as a platform for sharing magic?
