Find what you're looking for
By Damian Jennings -
We’ve recently been running a request for how we can improve the site. When we notice several of you asking for the same thing, we try and make it happen. I say “we”, actually I mean Andi. One of the requests that kept popping up was more advanced filtering when you search for products. So Andi built exactly that.
Let’s take close-up magic as an example. Now, in the top right-hand corner of every page in a category you'll see a filter box.
Let’s say you just want to look at books on close-up magic. All you need to do is click the Books radio button and then hit the “Update product list” button. Boom. All the books on close-up magic.
But wait, there’s more.
How about you want to hide the out of stock products? Easy, just click the filter and they’re hidden.
But wait, what if you want to rank the listings another way? Say, by customer review?
Just use the “Sort products” drop down at the top, now you’ll get just books on close-up magic, with the out of stock ones hidden and the order they appear in is by Customer Ratings.
Just remember to hit “Update product list” anytime you make a change, and you’re golden.
Thanks to everyone who suggested this. We hope it will make it much easier for you to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Try it out now with close-up magic
Here's a little video showing how it all works.
