Our 2025 Year in Products
By Vanishing Inc. -
As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to recap all of our amazing releases, month by month. It's been a long, good year, so there are lots to recap!
We started the year off strong with three great releases. Our first release of the year was Emojinary, an innovative, easy-to-use tool that unlocks countless magical possibilities with something everyone knows and loves: Emojis. The only thing that could follow it was two incredible books. The Hummingbirds is Luke Jermay's work on Rising Card, and Forged by Fire, an essential collection of magic from the creator of Get Sharky.
February had two great new releases. Alexander Hermann’s Ultimate Free Choice is a fun and surprising Open Prediction that was an instant sellout at The Session and Magifest, and the online release was just as strong. We also released Gravity Clips by Greg Van Holsbeck. As seen on Dynamo’s Miracles, Gravity Clips transforms a simple selection into a high-impact visual reveal. When the performer tugs a line of clipped postcards, all the postcards drop to the ground, leaving only the spectator’s card miraculously suspended.
Speaking of drops, in March, we released Name Dropper by John Graham. This is a practical, hard-hitting effect that gives every audience a personalized experience quickly made it into many professionals’ repertoires. We also released two new books this month: Calico and The Principles of Destruction. Calico is a killer book on coin magic by fan favorite Rick Holcombe, and offers some fresh takes on designing coin magic. The Principles of Destruction is a world-class performance piece by Ben Seidman. Born from Ben’s desire to create a routine so powerful that it would send every audience into pure chaos, this book is one of our favorite releases of the year.
April showers bring… Palming? In April, we released Concerning the Palming of Cards by Instagram sensation John Galsworthy. This book is a comprehensive guide to mastering one of card magic’s most versatile and essential sleights, and belongs on every magician’s bookshelf. We also released Persona, a fun personality test routine from David Jonathan that is truly a perfect opener.
May had two wonderful releases from underground magicians. The Weird and the Wonderful by Kyle Purnell is a collection of six new, brain-bustingly brilliant effects from one of our favorite creators. This collection of amazing material, all of which is bursting with his signature creativity and charm, has something for everyone. Our second release, Mosaic, is a comprehensive collection that introduces the global magic community to the legacy and talent of legendary German magician Christian Scherer, and includes over thirty professional routines, 700 hand-drawn illustrations, and his unique philosophy on crafting powerful, audience-tested illusions. If you want a taste, you can download a free sample here.
We released three amazing downloads in June. Sleights & Stories from Javi Benitez is an incredible 2-hour download that features a variety of strong routines and techniques that can be added directly to your repertoire. Next up was Coinjuring from Azim Guliyev, a collection of four stunning, practical, and visual pieces of coin magic that you’ll actually want to use. Speaking of things you’d want to learn, we also released How to Solve a Rubik’s Cube, by Tom Crosbie. For a reason we can’t explain, magicians are sort of expected to know how to solve cubes. If you’ve ever wanted to learn, this is a great place to start!
In July, we released a new version of Dan Harlan’s classic Cardtoon, with updated drawings, printing by USPCC, and in Mnemonica order for the very first time. (Even if you don’t know Tamariz’s stack, this lets you show the faces of the cards as genuinely shuffled.) We also released Prokito, by our own Brian Watson, which is an elegant, contemporary Okito Box built exclusively for the modern performer. And how could we forget all the work Andi put into releasing Marlo’s Magazines? The six-volume set is over 2,000 pages long and contains a lifetime of study.
This August, we released two incredible downloads full of creative card work. Hermann’s Trio, from Alexander Hermann, contains three fun and unique ideas with a deck of cards. While they might take a little arts and crafts, the result is well worth it. We also released the Peregrine Flipover, an amazingly powerful sleight from Avi Yapp. It takes a little practice, but those who invest the time are already reaping the rewards.
September was packed with releases, starting out with FACT by Caleb Wiles. If you haven’t picked it up yet, you should, as it is probably the only Penn & Teller Fooler that you can order from us and learn the day you get it. We then released Receipt Revelation, a pocket-sized miracle that you can do at a moment's notice. Piff the Magic Dragon worked with us to release his trick… what was it… called… the trick with the name… Oh, right, it was called The Trick with The Name! Your participant’s card appears on the back of their name tag in this trick that is perfect for strolling performers, corporate close-up, or even on stage. Lastly, while it wasn’t a magic book, we released The Art of Magic by Ken Trombly. This coffee table book chronicles Ken’s collection of vintage magic posters and allows you to see how the art of our art has progressed over time.
In October, we released a new version of one of our best-selling tricks of all time: Triad Coins. The quarter edition is the same amazing trick in a form factor that’s perfect for carrying with you every day. We also released Don’t Blink by Yvan Garmy, which is one of the most visually stunning versions of the Torn and Restored Magazine that we’ve ever seen. And don’t forget our Magical Matchsticks, which are sculptures of magicians doing classic magic effects are hand-carved into a matchstick.
November was supposed to be our month with the most releases. It started off normal with Absurdities, by our own Kyle Littleton. Not only is Kyle a key member of our team, but he is a rising star in the stand-up comedy scene in Atlanta, where he mixes his zany comedy with stunning sleight-of-hand magic. Absurdities is a collection of three routines that embody Kyle’s mix of charm, creativity, and killer magic. We were supposed to have five more releases in November for Black Friday, but thanks to a massive DDoS attack, we pushed the releases and our sale into December.
Here we are, in December. Our first release this month was Carisa’s Nova Rings, which are the best, most visual version of the Linking Finger Ring plot ever to be created. We then released Bizzaro’s Foiled Again, in which you peel off the outer layer of a real metal coin like tinfoil, revealing a chocolatey center. Bizzaro’s touches and routines are worth the price alone. Hex, by Christian Grace, left us scratching our heads and wondering how he got so good. We also released the DG Maze Deck, a marked deck so good that one of the reviewers we sent it to couldn’t find the markings! Then, of course, we have Conover. Conover is the magic, mentalism, and legacy of a master magician who left us too soon, and was perhaps our biggest and most highly anticipated project to date. Our final release of 2025 is Dustin Grimm's Bullet Peek. If you've ever wanted to reveal birthdays, pin codes, crushes, this download gives you the tools to make it happen. Even if you already know billet peeks, Dustin's choreography makes any moves invisible. It's a must watch!
What’s Coming Next?
Our releases for 2026 are going to take the magic community by storm. We have amazing new books, downloads, and tricks that we can’t wait to show you. Want to be the first to see them? We often debut new releases at conventions, so if you aren’t joining us for The Session or Magifest, you’re missing out. Other than that, make sure to keep an eye on our socials for teasers and on your inbox for when we release them!
